Obsidian Portal - free campaign wiki and blog

I recently discovered Obsidian Portal via Dungeonmastering.com.

It's a fantastic, free site that allows you to set up a wiki for your campaign setting, a blog for your campaign journal or diary and a zoomable campaign map with linkable map pins.

At first I was sceptical but now I've learned how to use a wiki - and how simple they are to use, I'm absolutely loving it. It means I can work like I usually do - scribbling brain farts as they occur - but now I can do it in such a way that it's all ordered, structured, linkable and cross-reference-able.

You can have up to two campaigns free. Each campaign can have one zoomable map each - though external linking to images for wiki pages appears to be permitted.

If you take out a subscription you are allowed many more campaigns (possibly unlimited) and each can have up to ten zoomable maps with a greater zoom depth.

That said, so far I'm finding the free setup perfectly adequate.

Note that this all sounds like spam. I assure you it isn't. I'm a regular on these boards, I have absolutely no affiliation with the Obsidian Portal guys, I just think it's a great ap that many GMS could benefit from.

Enjoy
