Looking for a series of one-shot or the most two night gaming session...one shot adventures that I could link into a campaign. Any suggestions?

I have virtually everything Traveller has come up with...

The players already have a ship and they are still just getting their feet wet. Therefore, a combination of investigation, science and combat would be preferred. If you need to get a handle of what they have already encountered...http://www.meetup.com/Toronto-Area-Game ... 0#16062003

The biggest problem with this group is that we get an influx of new players in almost every game. Therefore, games have to be light and easy on the pickup.

Thanks, it was a long time since I checked out either of those two. I would not object to a non-Traveller game (so long as I could get it in PDF) as I could easily adapt most.

If you have a JTAS subscription, you may want to have a look at these amber zones and adventures (<Rating from 1 to 5>):

There are also 129 Casual Encounters, some of which will serve as passengers or planetside contacts. Also a lot of other articles (1136 in all so far). A $20 subscription will get you access to all of them plus the next ~150 articles over the next two years. Highly recommended.
