I was checking the site a couple minutes ago and this popped up as the product of the moment (little icon when the page refreshes)...

So what's up? Did I miss the debut? Is it so new it's not in the usual places yet? It's not, I looked.

Anyway it looks not bad and certainly the price is right. It also looks like it's the first of... how many? Care to comment Loren?

Hey Rain, sorry for not getting back to this sooner, watching a dvd. I wasn't sure I'd have much use for it based on the preview (download, see link above) but what the heck it's only a couple bucks, how can I go wrong

Anyway, something went wrong with the download setup. Ran through the whole purchase deal but no link, no file, nada, just a confirmation email with order number. Dropped Hunter and co. an email about it, will follow up with a post to the CotI Website Issues forum if that doesn't get through.

So maybe hold off on buying this till we see if I'm just an idiot tonight or if maybe the item is not quite ready yet.

It was mentioned on the TML a bit ago. It's also available from RPGNow.com. Looks like it was added the 13th of last month. Now it's under their minimum purchase amount but you could always add something like one of the Lightspeed supplements (Lightspeed: Planets of the Interstellar Era especially is useful for the price IMO), a QLI pdf, one of the d20 Future deckplans, or whatever.

Me I'm waiting until I hear a little more or LKW releases a second one so I can make a minimum purchase at RPGNow.com .

I remember reading somewhere that LKW was going to be releasing a series of classically styled deckplans, but I thought that he'd be working on larger ships, not small craft.

The reason that the choice of small craft may be a bit unfortunate (at least for two of us) is that Michael Taylor and I are at the tail end of our T20 Small Craft Traveller's Aide project. Our project has descriptions, data blocks, design breakdowns, and deckplans for standard and variant small craft as well as T20 rule extensions that allow for TL-7 and TL-8 spacecraft. Unfortunately, the TA looks like compete against LKW's line.

Not so much in competition as LKWs covers CT,MT and GT (according to the advert) and not T20

Hi Ron,

Yeah, I recall there being a TA in the works, a little competition shouldn't hurt (I hope). I expect the differences to be worth getting both, even where they cross over. I don't think it should affect your own project.

In other news I heard from Hunter just this morning, well he sent the email early early this AM but I just checked my mail, and as I suspected it's not quite ready so I was jumping the gun a bit. I'll keep you posted when it is finally ready, if Hunter doesn't beat me to it.

Hi Ron,

Looking forward to your traveller's aide as it is going to be T20 specific.

So I don't think you should be worried about competition as most traveller fans will buy the lot anyway.

*That* Colin! YW. Yeah well done. 24 planets each with full color system atlas and planetary survey + writeup for a great price.

The system and planet data's easily adapatable though I've thought of running a Lightspeed game sometime for sheer fun.
