New Campaign Setting Available

Falkayn

SOC-13
I have put a campaign setting up on my website. The Kupid Cluster is a small part of the Julian Protectorate in the Mendan sector (near the border with the Third Empire of Gashikan). The year is 1100, but the setting could be used anywhen within 100 years either way.

There are also a number of Adventure Seeds for this campaign setting in my Odd Jobs area.

Very shortly I shall put up a subsector map for the Kupid subsector, but in the meantime an excellent subsector map is available at Zho Berka's site.

Enjoy!

heretechs, eh?!--I like it! :D  ;)
Thanks mate!

The Heretechs are my own work, although I stole the "Aek Aeg" and the corsair "Vaegvar" from an old Challenge magazine.

This is all stuff I did in preparation for my own campaign, so I just hope it helps someone else out.

Thank You Falkayn for linking to my site.

I should also say that there are actually two maps of the subsector.
The above link goes to the ascII version that shows waterworlds in blue
and travelzones using red or yellow brackets.

There is also a java version that looks a bit nicer and showes the travel routes, and also rich worlds in blue, agricultural worlds in green and industrial worlds in red.

Falkayn,

Nice site,

This is me being dumb, how do you open those 3 FF&S ships using the FF&S spreadsheet?

Cheers
Richard

Richard,

Thanks for the compliment. It's not a dumb question at all:
1. Download them to your hard drive.
2. Rename them, and remove the ".txt" suffix (so they end in ".ffs").
3. Open the most excellent FF&S spreadsheet by Andy Akin (make sure you enable macros), then go to the Design sheet and use CTRL+L to begin the macro that loads designs into the spreadsheet.

BTW, I have my own T20 starship design spreadsheet ...

OK, I'll bite: how did you make that map?

Did you do it "by hand" or is there a program that you use to generate it?

Hate to say it, but it's all by hand. I used Macromedia Fireworks and Universe to create the images - except for the skull, which I pinched off someone else's map (can't remember whose).
