Nav-Fi³ - A digital HUD for Ship Operations & Finances

Hello everyone,

Like I'm sure many of you, I was tired of trying to keep track of my game campaigns using spreadsheets. They were incredibly useful, but at the table they disrupted the gaming atmosphere, and I was constantly losing them.

So, as a programmer, I set out to develop a web application for Traveller. It ended up becoming so huge that it took me about two years to complete what was a real undertaking, as well as a great challenge. In the end, I developed a full-fledged ERP for Traveller, which I called Nav-Fi³.
The most complicated part, and the one that took the longest, was building the graphical interface. I lost count of the number of refactorings I had to do before I achieved my vision of the right style and tone, even in the text, what I called The Voice of the Machine Protocol.

Here's a brief summary of the features:

Missions - Campaigns tied to the passage of time
Companies - Banks, Industries, Research Laboratories, etc.
Financial accounts - to associate with assets
Assets: Spaceships, bases, and teams
Costs and revenues (via various types of contracts), which generate transactions
Mortagages - for Ship and base
Navigation routes (integration with TravellerMap), which advance time in the Mission
The Cube - a small narrative engine that generates various opportunities, from trading goods, mail, to various types of missions. Warning! It doesn't develop an entire adventure, but it provides and compiles the information needed to get started.
Shared Crew Access Protocol (SCA Protocol), which allows players to join campaigns created by GMs (Referees).

The system is quite complex, but I'm sure that after the initial impression and a few clicks, it will all become more than understandable.

If you'd like to take a look around and provide me with constructive criticism, suggestions, advice, and anything else that might help me improve the Nav portal, please feel free to contact me.

You can find it at this URL:

In the Manual & Flows section, you'll find guides for the various Nav-Fi³ portal modules.

It's pretty, I'll give you that!

I wasn't motivated to log into it with Google, however. More a "me" thing.

But, yea, it's pretty!

Malwarebytes is not letting me through even though I whitelisted it. I will try some more when I get a chance as I would love to try this out.

I understand, but for now, authentication via username and password is not planned. I don't want to save anyone's secrets precisely for security reasons, and then managing additional security protocols, password recovery systems, for now alone as a dev is too complicated and I don't have a lot of time, but I'm considering introducing other authentication systems like Discord.

Strange, the entire infrastructure runs on Google Cloud—web application, database, and Gotenberg for PDF printing.
In any case, I'll check it out; I don't like it at all.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

That looks pretty interesting. It's sad that so much of it is unreadable on my browser. The very light cyan text on white background is impossible to read, The cyan and light grays are hard to read but not impossible. If there is a place to change the color pallette, I could not find it.

Hi, thanks for giving me a chance.
Which browser are you using?
If you don't mind, send me a screenshot, and I'll try to figure out what's going on and fix it.

I don't know if it's right to discuss this here, and I don't want to break the portal's rules, so maybe it's better if you message me privately.

This is REALLY cool. A couple questions...
1-Any plans to implement different rulesets (trade etc)
2-I can't see a way to create custom contracts. Is that a thing or not yet?
3-Any plans to incorporate the timelines represented in the travellermap?

What do you mean?
here:
You can create :
FREIGHT, PASSENGERS, MAIL, CHARTER, CONTRACTS(patron missions), SALVAGE, PRIZE etc. through INCOME CATEGORY field

Yes, but it's a very complex feature. I'm currently studying it to find a way to implement it as painlessly as possible. In any case, it's not a feature that will be available anytime soon.

Thank you for give me your feedback.
I'm sorry if it doesn't have everything you wanted. At first, it was supposed to be simple and quick, but in the end, it became a monster that took up most of my free time :)
Now I'm trying to move forward more slowly.
