My map of the Spinward Marches

So I see... I thought it was Pulver for some reason (he seems to write just about everything else).

I'll say this for BtC, of the three books, it's most definately my favourite. Stats I can take or leave but BtC has an abundance of colourful fluff that makes the sector and it's planets much more interesting than the other two books.

I've been going through that comparison list I posted above and to be honest it's only really the hydrographic percentages that I need to change. KKirka's diameter can stay as it is and atmospheres are either none, mustardy for insidious and blue for everything else. So it makes very little difference. I think the biggest change is to Shinothy which will, of course become Shionthy again

Right. My plan is to use S3 for location (I don't think either SMC or BtC contradicts this anyway), name, diameter and hydrographic coverage and BtC for climate (which neither S3 or SMC covers anyway).

Huzzah! Update in the week!

That'll do me ... I hear there are some cheap print shops on Bonham Street in Sheung Wan.

!!UPDATED!!

I've cross-referenced Supplement 3 with the Spinward Marches Campaign and Behind the Claw (which, to be fair, isn't as broken as everyone made it sound).

Changes I've made:

Wochiers/Regina now has an insidious atmosphere. S3 and SMC both have it as Insidious, so I went with that.

Yurst/Regina now has 40% hydrographic coverage. This isn't an error on the part of any book, I just didn't feel the graphic reflected the fact that it was only 40%

Shinothy/Regina is now Shionthy

Feri/Regina is no longer an Amber zone as per S3 and SMC.

Ghandi/Lanth is now changed to look less like Hoth so it only has the 10% water that it's supposed to have.

Dinom/Lanth is no longer an Amber Zone as per S3 and SMC.

KKirka/Lanth is now 10K diameter as per S3 and SMC.

Finally the X-boat routes have been changed so that they bypass Phlume/Vilis as per all three books (my bad) and it now goes "SouthEast" from Dhian/Aramis (as per S3 and SMC) instead of "NorthEast".

You'd find more discrepancies by going through The Traveller Adventure, and several of the adventures; those are mostly in the "fluff" tho'.

In MTU Knorbes is a jungle planet. I took the 80% water to make the whole planet a vast swamp of vegetation floating on very shallow water. I did not give it any moons, so there are no tides. It's all smelly stagnant water. Nasty place.

Even with the errors, your map is a terrific piece of work!
Until reading this thread I did not know that BtC was so full of errors. Just add me to the list of suckers who bought it. :(

I don't CARE if there are errors!!! This map absolutely ROCKS, and so do your illustrations for the two 100 dton Scout/Courier variants, btw. I'm definately going to show the Sulimein pics to my party so they can have a good idea of scale and internal arrangement.

(Their ship won't be an S/C, but it gives them a GREAT picture of a ship!)

I wish I had a thimbleful of your artistic talent!

Great job, man. A whole new realization of mapping, breaking the 8 X 10 mold like that.

Very nice. I'll have to do my own campaign like that now. Inspiring.

The Players have the pretty handout. The GM has the original, boring hex grid so he can tell them how far.

Or they can refer to their handy dandy gazeteer that lists how far each system is from the others and when I finally get round to making that I'll put that online too.

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but...

With Scarecrow's assistance and permission, I've done an "eye candy" style treatment for my map site (to augment the colors-on-black style of the Spinward Marches poster and the black-on-white style of the Atlas and LBBs)

Check it out:

http://www.travellermap.com/?x=-95.929625&y=70.546875&scale=128&options=4983

It looks best when zoomed in to 128 pixels/parsec, and looks horrible when zoomed out significantly.

Enjoy, and feedback welcome.

And you're even using my favorite version of Daibei. Very cool.

Only (very small) critique would be to shade the border of Arden slightly differently - it matches your route colors. Very pretty! :D

Amazing. Truly amazing.

My wife saw it and said, "That guy is more hard core with Traveller maps, than you are."

And that certainly is saying something.

Holy Schlamoly Batman!

That is amazingly... amazing!

I was going to ask if anyone still had a copy of Scarecrow's stuff since the links are long dead (In fact, if anyone does have them, please PM me :) ), but this is crazy cool!
