Miniatures - TT Scale

So, have any of you 15mm aficionados used TT scale figures to fill out the ranks of starport dwellers, cattle needing to be moved via starship, or assorted Earth animals like cats, dogs, rabbits, et cetera?
I've been looking at some online, and it seems a plausible way of adding some dimension to my growing collection of armed Travellers.

This is what got me thinking about TT scale...

... Be forewarned, the second page has some figures going about activities one may not want to portray in miniature on a gaming table.

That was nearly a keyboard kill!

The first question is what possible use would anyone have for those figures, and the second question is why would anyone sculpt them?

More seriously, 1:120 is about 10mm scale isn't it? If 15mm is 1:100? Though, as background figures in a scene, most would work ok, I guess.

GM: " Ok, you burst in through the first door, and you see..."

It's gotta be worth a few quid for the laughs. :)

That probably answers both questions.

"I say, 'Whoa! Dude, you're supposed to hang a tie on the doorknob or something.' I'll snap a shot for Facebook, then back out."

I've used N scale stuff with 15mm minis, and HO with 25mm, but never anything as small as Z or T scale. N Scale is a bit small for 15 if the minis are to scale, but like gaming minis they tend to run large for the scale. I've never used TT scale stuff. Once you put bases on the minis, who can tell? ;)

With U.S. scales,
15mm~=1:122 N=1:160 TT=1:120 25mm~=1:73 28mm~=1:65 HO=1:87

Hmm I am reminded that I need a new desk and it should be a sturdy one too. But there is a nice selection there but I think N might work better because ther eis so much more stuff for N gauge.

When I get some spare cash, I'm going to try some of the TT scale stuff, just to see how it compares to 15s. In theory it should look really close. I'll take some pics and post them once I have them.
