MgT High Guard: Tournaments and Campaigns?

Is MgT High Guard useful in a ship/squadron/fleet tournament combat type situation?

Did Mongoose bother with Trillion Credit Squadron type campaign rules?

Is there any evidence so far of fans really running with this thing, or... is the focus primarily on fuzzy role playing type situations...?

For my own uses, it supports my current campaign; So call fuzzy RPG uses. Not having TCS, I can make no assessments or useful statements.
