The major negative thought I have about MegaTraveller is the large amount of errata. I particularly enjoy the ship/vehicle/etc. design sequences, so those books that include them I rated more highly.

I liked MT, thought of it as CTe2 so to speak. The expanded chargens were a nice touch. The line provided us with a wealth of materials concering the OTU setting, giving us our first look at lots of things. I have problems with the Rebellion; think of it as belief suspender snapping, but the materials were good and workman-like.

I remember reading AV after buying it fiding out that the Real Strephon really was the real Strephon. What a feeling... The peek at an empire gone to hell was amazing too.

Knightfall was okay. Introducing the Primordials; aka Sparklers, aka Baddies from the Core, was intellectually lazy but that was DGP's hallmark. Continually roping in yet another powerful and ancient race that is more powerful and ancient than the last powerful ancient race gets real old real fast. Mr. Wiseman calls it the 'Fantastic Four' Syndrome.

FSotSI was the only real clunker in the line, so bad that it approached T4 status! Yikes!

Larsen, I agree with you. Before T20 came along, MT was actually my favorite system, because I saw it system-wise as CT-Plus, or CT 2nd Edition. But I get more players with T20, so it's moving up there quickly.
