Low-tech McKinley-killer pistol

has photos of a very interesting pistol. It looks as though it was held in the palm, with the barrel protruding between the middle and ring finger, and a small button was used to fire.

The central mechanism is very odd, though. Apparently the cartridges were radiating outward from a central axis, not parallel as in a conventional revolver.

It's from the Chicago Fire Arms Company, and it's called a Protector, but one was used to kill President McKinley in 1901.

I can see that flashlight one causing problems - "hey, maybe the batteries are dead, let me take a lo-<bang>..."

Thanks for the link. I work in a pawn shop and just to print off the stuff about the world's smallest pistol to post at work.
