Hi Folks! I'm a newbie here, so bear with me if this is an "all too familiar" question, but... does anybody have any ideas for a good (preferably free) source of background info on stuff like jump space characteristics? The theoretical info that the fan magazines used to provide. My resources are meager (disabled-fixed income) or else I would go on a bidding war on ebay or someplace. Anyway, thanks for letting me share space. I look forward to some great times.

Duke, try this link for jump space physics. Freelance Traveller has some good articles by fans on oodles of different stuff.
If you want to find good links to Traveller stuff, go up to the bar above the thread, click on CotI Features, then Imperial Starport. Then wander about clicking on links. There shouldn't be any bad ones, as they were all recently recreated, I believe.
And, of course, try out the search function here, 'cause I know we've talked about this more than once....
