Looking for a Ship

Are these T5? Can I ask a huge favor so these have a process by which the T5 ships are created? I was hoping to make or find a walk through for the new rules.

Consider though these taken to populate MTU!!! Thanks !

If you look thru old threads, Rob has walk thrus of the generation of most of his ships posted. He may even have a pdf about with the walk thru somewhere.

Rob's shipyard makes it pretty point and click to build a T5 boat...
 
Ship Design

G'day

My ship design sheet follows the design checklist on Pg 329, pretty much from top to bottom.
T5_Starship_Sheet_V0.21.xlsx <-- Shameless plug :-)
The sheet is filled in with a standard TL-9 Type A Free Trader as an example

Just right click the link and <save as> then rename the file to "anything.xlsx" and away you go.

you can follow the chapters in the book as you go, and if you find any errors in the calculations let me know for V0.3... The idea for the sheet is to incorporate everything in the book, plus, add more personalised detail to each ship.

Mr. Roughrider, check out my Helpful Stuff post. There's a walkthru for creating the Beowulf and, I think the Gazelle.

And yes, all of these are T5, and were created using my Flash-based starship builder app. It requires Flash on your browser.

I note with mild concern that the errata may change minor bits of ship design. But I am prepared: every ship design I've created is saved in a design data file; if ship design changes, I can write a conversion script that upgrades the existing designs.
 
Also for Mr. Roughrider: any CT ship design will work fine for NPC ships. And for combat purposes, one can grab any CT design and tack on a reasonable set of T5 sensors. Default sensors are suitable for typical non-combat ships.

For combat purposes with starships 2400 tons and under, I see a need for:

* Communicator
* Jammer
* Radar (or, at TL12 and up, EMS)
* Scope (or, at TL14 and up, Visor)
* CommCaster (for squadrons, this is very important)
* Stealth Mask (TL12+)

For military ships, these should be on antennae, perhaps extendable ones.
