Limits to Breathing O2 in a Vacc Suit ?

It depends. If the suit air is pure O2 as current astronauts use then there are bigger issues to deal with before being concerned with possible long term use effects.

Lengthy (hours) pre-suit prep breathing pure O2 to reduce/eliminate Nitrogen from the blood being one. Since nobody does this (the rules have never required it or even suggested it) in Traveller the (my anyway) presumption is the tech has evolved to the point where it's not required. Probably through breathing a standard atmosphere mix instead of pure O2. In that case there would be no long term effects at all and you don't have to worry about the short term problems such as pre-suit breathing prep.

As long as you have the air at the right mix (20% oxygen and 80% nitrogen) at the right pressure and temperature it should be fine,

no pressure and your blood soon boils away

(btw astronauts have 100% oxygen, but only at about 30% normal air pressure, it hurts, why so low?, because the suit would lock up, and you would not be able to move your arms (or legs) at full pressure)

I was setting up a Salvage Op and wanted to know if being stuck in
a vacc-suit for like 72 hours straight, breathing out of a tank was a
problem.

Looking at GURPS Traveller, they offer 4-hour tanks & GURPS Ultra
Tech offers a 24-hour giant tank, so I figure those numbers are
safe.

Ah, I thought you meant long term effects, as in a long life of regular use :)

No, should be no problem breathing from a tank in a suit that long. Even 72 hours with multiple tanks and changing over. Other issues may likely come up though (hope they have the really good MAG* on in case ;) )

Actually there is a problem with breathing 20% oxygen and 80% nitrogen at 1 atmosphere in a suit.

At our TL with current materials science yes. But as noted there are none of the complications of 100% (or nearly) O2 low pressure suit use mentioned in the rules so this factor is handled in the game. Traveller Vacc Suits are not NASA suits. They must use a standard atm mix at standard pressure (or nearly so) to allow them to be used the way the rules and gamers play it. Such as explosive decompression and jumping into a Vacc Suit without any ill effects. Such as no rules covering (and adventures ignoring iirc) any pre-suit time before EVA from the shirtsleeve standard atm mix at standard pressure enjoyed aboard ships. And so on.

This requires a much more expensive and cumbersome suit to hold 1 atmosphere of pressure inside of it.

Again, for today's Earth, yes. For the far-future apparently not. Certainly even the basic Vacc Suits of Traveller cost nowhere near the one off price typically bandied about for NASA suits (US$ 2 million - each) and weigh far less than the (?) 200 to 300 pounds with LS. Heck even Battle Dress is cheaper and lighter than that :)
