Less stuff on eBay these days?

Perhaps it's a ebay.co.uk thing, but I notice a rapid decline in good Traveller stuff these days.

Favourite vendors who regularly stocked interesting and cool stuff have closed up shop and gone. Anyone else noticed it?

I think these kinds of things go in cycles. There will be a wave of good stuff then a slow period. I have seen this over time in many different areas.

Yeah, another "Cycle of Sales" will come again in the near future. But then, the prices (for out of print items) for that cycle will be a notch higher.

Exploitative capitalism. Gotta love it. ;)

Two things, I think -

Summer tends to be the big time for a lot of this stuff due to more time on hand and, in some cases, students being the ones selling.

Also, at least for the CT stuff, having the CDROMs has made some of the big market obsolete. Of course, this does not hold true for the figures, the DGP or other quality third party pubs, etc...

Yes, for the past 2 months I've seen fewer and fewer Traveller books on ebay.co.uk, but there's still the US one, where you can always find about 100 items at any given time on auctions and about 400-500 in shops.
This is particularly important to me since I live in Poland, where it's extremely difficult to get any books for any RPG in English (apart from AD&D).
But maybe it's just a temporary thing like someone here said, and in couple months we'll see the next wave of people selling their stuff.
And the good thing is that Marc has already put CT, JTAS, MT and T5 on CD-ROMS and from the e-mail he sent me FASA stuff and TNE are coming this year (plus the normal several months delay :))
Cheers,
Blase
