J-5 route through the claw

JAFARR

SOC-14 1K
Has this route been officially ploted, or is it just something that officially just is? Reason for asking - I am developing a cluster of worlds ( 7 to 10 systems) in the middle of the claw region as back ground for a series of books. (As mentioned in my post about "high tech - low tech" items.) I have all my Traveller books in storage except "Arrival Vengeance" due to moving. A. V. doesn't actually mention the J - 5 route, but talks about tanker support to a comet that is used for refueling. I can always use the MTU vs OTU if I have to.

Andy - I am assuming you are talking about the J-5 route across the Rift in the Aslan territory. This is detailed in Traveller's Digest issue 19. A map of the Riftspan Reaches sector is provided with routes.

Background is available in Gurps: Traveller: Alien Races 2, page 20. "...a long-range survey craft capable of five successive Jump-1s."

You can see a small cluster about two-thirds of the way across using The Interactive Atlas of the Imperium.

I imagine you can back into at least the locations of the worlds on the link using the Atlas of the Imperium.

Sorta-kinda-related...

Go to http://www.travellermap.com and search: (arrival vengeance)

(With parentheses)

You'll get the route that was followed in that adventure - albeit only with the stops mentioned, not down to the J-5 granularity you're looking for.

Hit Travellermap.com, and find the riftspan reaches (just to trailing of the Aslan Hierate) it has the J-5 route marked.

I have been trying, but can't get search to do anything. Infact the only place I found search at all was to click the mobile link. Am I missing something?

Running XP Pro and IE7

On the right panel below the "sector grid on/off" you will see a line that says:

Labels <<
Click on the << and you will see the search "unhide"

It's a "feature" ;)

Or make your window taller. :)

I suppose I should reconsider what options are shown by default. I doubt anyone actually uses the scroll buttons, for example. But then it wouldn't match the GURPS Traveller manual! :(

Or increase resolution might also work. I keep mine rather low as that combination works best with my eyesight and monitor combination.

Just something I noticed... Arrival Vengeance is noted as arriving at Cadion (Core 0530) on 944-1125.

Guess time can seem to drag when you're in Jump. :)
