CT Only: Is DGP's 101 Vehicles compatible with CT

Hi All,

How compatible is DGP's 101 Vehicles book with Classic Traveller? I am not familiar with the MT rules at all but have seen comments that suggest some things might have changed a little (to do with specs of small craft and vehicles)? Do the specs of the vehicles in this book comply with the CT RAW?

Appreciate any enlightenment from people familiar with this book and both CT & MT.

MT is quite compatible with CT in most aspects, but craft design and description is one of the less compatible ones.

As for 101 vehicles being compatible with CT, it depends on which kind of compatiblity you're looking for.

I mean ,are those vehicles usable in CT? yes, they are, if you don't enter in too much detail. It gives you many vehicles that you an use in CT with useful stats as price, passengers they may carry, weaponry (if any), etc.

Are they compatible with CT combat system for running vehicle combats? hardly at best, as the vehicle combat system (and the combat system in general) are quite different.

MT ships and HG-80 ships are ratings-compatible, provided you can decipher the standard format for each.
