Imperial Marine TO&E

Does anyone have a TO&E for an Imperial marine Line Regiment. I kow that it has 3 task force headquaters sections, 9 line compnaies, 3 meson batteries, 2 lift infantry companies, a grav tank company and a commando company. I can find bits of the TO&E in Striker II but not the listings fora lift infantry company, commando company or the headquaters section for the entire regiment. Can anyone help me either with a TO&E or canonical reference. Thanks.

JTAS #12, pp. 42-45 gives part what you want. It has the TOE for the line infantry company. I don't think there are any canonical sources for the commandos or the regimental HQ (the task force/battalion HQ is in the JTAS #12 article).

I think all marine "line" infantry Coys are also "lift" infantry. At least the TOE gives them grav APCs and the article uses the "lift infantry" symbol for them in the TOE diagrams.

According to JTAS #12, a marine regiment has 9 line/lift infantry Coys, 2 lift cavalry Coys, one grav tank Coy and one commando Coy.

The GURPS Traveller supplement Ground Forces gives details about the Imperial Marines RHQ, etc.

It all depends on whether you consider GT to be canonical for the OTU or not ;)

Hey we're playing games in space...how canonical
can I get? Seriously though, if it is well written and logical , I'll use it.

It's very well written IMHO, and well worth using

Striker II for TNE has some excellent TO&E in it. I recall that it includes Imperial Marine Task Force orbats as well as Sword World, Zhodani, DoR's Huscarles,Imperial Guard, Reformation Coalition units. As a set of mini rules it's quite good too as it's based on the Command Decision rules.

Ground Forces is an excellent and entertaining read though the article on the 5418th Lift Infantry in JTAS 9 or The Spinward Campaign is good too (even if they're not Marines).

OOPs should have read through the top post. Refer to the info on the 5418th as it is based on Marine organisation & equipment.
