If this is the wrong place sorry but it seemed to fit. In my current game we are exploring a new area of space, and seem to be having hang ups on planet names. Does anyone know where I can find a program or spreadsheet for random naming.

if you have unix, linux or mac osx, try 'lc'

Here's a great reference site where you should be able to find a program matching your hardware, software and needs, as well as a language set that might suit you (or a few to combine).

During my own dry spell I relied on a book of old ghost towns of the west, pacific northwest, and even Alaska!

I had the unexpected results of creating a lot of cowboy acting from my players...but I kind of deserved it.

There were some pretty odd names for those ghost towns.

When I run short of names, I go to a detailed map of Africa, Eastern Europe or Asia and pick out Cities and Towns and Rivers etc. Then I can twist them a bit if I want dependin on the "flavor" of the region I am working on.
