WOW

Well, if the comedy preview is to be any judge, I would have to say TL 15...as it reminds me a lot of my early Traveller days...hopefully we will be able to get the Hyperdrive series (BBC)** over across the pond...but sadly, we seem to be stuck in repeat land with: "Are you being Served?" played continiously.

As for the other news, what was that about them finding a battleship on the Moon? USS Phila...After I pick up my copy of IW, I hereby sign up for the UN Goodwill Ambassador to the Vilani. Need to get out the house for a while, so Barnard's just the right place. Now, you Yanks don't you go blowing things up...ok?

**Why is we have a speciality digital channel called "BBC Canada" that plays 1% BBC programs and the remainder of the time plays Canadian Home & Decorating programs...

It appears to have the same basis as the russian rotating superconductor magnet gravity interrupter which NASA said, (then shortly after retracted,) had a 10% reduction in apparent mass above it for an elliptical section.

NASA never went to a full-up prototype, and never went up to the Russian's energy levels, either.

The similarities, and the russian scientist's paper, both seem to be which subset of physics they are based upon, and that subset it little known, lesser accepted, and while predictive of certain elements, has not been experimentally substantiated with full peer review.

^Ok we need to build one.
Fermilab and Argonne are just down the road to provide brain power and we have two good sized nuclear reactors in the area, that aughta do it.

I want my damn hyperdive!

Well, the AIAA are Engineers, not theoretical physicists. We can hope, though.

That Russian magnet was being investigated by NASA's Breakthrough Propulsion Physics section. IIRC, they were shut down when the ISS ate NASA's budget.

Eight dimensions? How does that relate to the eleven dimensions of string theory? Also, if magnetism is the result of charge moving in a gravity field, why don't deep space craft, like Voyager, malfunction when they get out there?

The correlation between electromagnetism and gravity has been investigated by a lot of private individuals and companies for the past few years. Supposedly Boeing and British Aerospace both have programs working on this.

Google "Podkletnov" or "Nick Cook" along with "zero point" or "antigravity" for more info.
