HIWG Mailing List

Zparkz

SOC-12
It its days HIWG had a mailing list for a brief period of time. Does anyone here know if there ever was compiled an archive of all the entries on this list?

If so I would like to get a copy of this archive and put in the download section of my Traveller site, which incidentally also is the current home of the HIWG CD.

Do you know the URL for the majordomo? If so, it MAY have been archived.

You mean the HIWG cd-rom ? This has articles and lots of other things.

You can download it, about 450 megs or so.

I host the HIWG-CD at my site and it does not contain anything from the HIWG mailing List far as I can tell.

You are aware that Bryan Borich is the *official* distributor of the HIWG CD? He was left holding the archives when HIWG ended... Clay Bush was the last chairsophont, and Bryan kept the archives.

Have you contacted him about your posting that on the internet?

Cool. By the way, what's the date on your CD... Marc and I found that the dates on ours were different, and we had some different files.

I don't remember as I had two different CD's which I received at different times several years ago. I compliled them together as one of the CDs had started to develop an error.
Short after making it available on the net, I was asked to remove some material from it, which I did.

The material concerned is about Meshan Saga from HIWG-NZ, too bad actually as it is very good stuff.

On the other side of that, the guys who put together Meshan Saga have been talking to Marc about cleaning up their stuff for some potential future project. That's a good thing.

Also, if you have any Cargonaut material on your site, could you remove that? Until Marc can get ahold of Paul Sanders and straighten out the details, it's probably for the best. I know Bryan had permission to include it on the CD, but the rights to the Cargonaut materials are currently in the same pile as the DGP materials, and it's best not to cause any problems in those areas. Sorry about that...
