High Guard Shipyard version 1.1

AndreaV

SOC-13
I've finally released HGS v1.1. All known errors have been corrected and now ships of less than 1000 Td can fit bay weapons. Also several improvements have been made to the squadron designer that should greatly improve its performance.

You can find the new files at my site at Downport (http://www.downport.com/amv/) or at in the files area of the ct-starships list.

Some questions and comment.

Q: When looking at the Type T, I noticed that it now has an extra 2 tons. Where did they come from?

Q: Just out of idle curiousity, where did you get the tonnages used for the T20 rules? (Like for Airframe and the 8 tons for a sickbay.)

C: Even though I think you still intended for the T20 stuff to be disabled, it is quite accessible. Just load in one of your sample ships (all were apparently done with T20 rules) and presto!, the T20 flag is set. (Thus the second question above.)

I'm not sure where the extra 2 tons for the Type T comes from, I'll have to check

The T20 figures come from the playtest draft

Are you launching from the shortcut that was in some of the betas? You should only be able to access T20 design features if you send the program the correct commandline switch (t20).

If I start up, I get "High Guard" selected. Then, I just open up "Ships->Standard->Type T" and, presto!, I am now in "T20" mode. Works great! :)

Please know that I never like to turn away extra free tons, but I am sure that the extra 2 tons are a mistake. If you would like, I could send you the numbers I created by hand, if that would help.

BTW, I love HGS. Please keep up the good work.

Afraid to say, I've found where the extra two tons of space come from and corrected the error. A new improved HGS (without the error) can be found at either the ct-starships list or my site at www.downport.com/amv/.
