Return of Kafka
SOC-1
Hello all,
After a long hiatus from CoI, I am back been so long that I cannot remember whether I was simply kafka or kafka47 which I was back in the days of the Traveller Mailing List.
(To the tune of "Back in the USSR" by The Beatles)
Oh, flew into the jump point, caught a starship to the stars, Sailing through the cosmos, plotting a course to distant bars. Take me to the planets where the spaceports never close, Chart the unexplored sectors, where the stellar wanderer goes.
Verse 1:
Flew across the sector, in my trusty starship's glide, Systems flashing by me, on this astral joyride. But don't you know we're back to claim the void, You know it's understood.
Chorus:
Back in the Traveller universe, You don't know how lucky you are, travellers. Back in the Traveller universe.
Verse 2:
Well, the Steward's on the comms, saying "Welcome to the core, Register your starship, and explore forevermore." Been away so long, I hardly knew the place, Bureaucracy and star charts, navigating outer space.
Chorus:
Back in the Traveller universe, You don't know how lucky you are, travellers. Back in the Traveller universe.
Bridge:
"Hey, you, with the hex map in your hand, A thousand parsecs away, from home, starman. Fly through the black, see the worlds unfold, In the Traveller universe, where stories are told."
Verse 3:
Touching down on planets, with atmospheres so rare, Alien species greet me, with a curious stare. Barter in the markets, trade goods from afar, In the Third Imperium, where all the planets are.
Chorus:
Back in the Traveller universe, You don't know how lucky you are, travellers. Back in the Traveller universe.
Outro:
Well, leave the jump point behind, navigate the stars, In the Traveller universe, where adventure's not too far. So, strap into your starship, and set the controls, In the Official Traveller Universe, where the cosmic story unfolds.
