Help with SM Map

jrmapes

Absent Friend
This map used to be found here, but is no longer online,
Code:
http://www.grandsurvey.com/sec/ec.spinward_marches.pdf
It was created back in Dec 1999 by Anthony Jackson and was derived from, I am guessing, his expansive Trade Route data and his nroute.c software.

I am showing only the Regina Subsector of the SM but the map has the whole of the SM.

On the map at each world you get the UWP then the Name then the next line the Alegence code followed by a space then a + or not (for subsector capitol I am pretty sure), then a three to four letter and number combo.

In example, Becks World is Im 144 where Boughene is S188, and Feri is Im S0A9.
Where Gram in the Sword Worlds is Sw +M3B0 and Chronor in it's subsector is Zh +Z4B8

I have been trying to figure out exactly what those codes mean.

I'm sure its obvious to some but I am clueless. I thought they may be something from GURPS Traveller / Gurps style trade codes but after looking thru Gurps Free Trader I am still stumped. Then I thought maybe the "ec" in the file name might be a clue but that hasn't helped.

It's a nice map and I would like to use it but those codes are nagging at me.

Any Ideas from you all?

That explains much.

Thank you.

still curious to what the 4th number means on some worlds like Efate but not curious enough to worry much about it. But I knew there would be someone here at CotI who could take one look and go.... oh yeah that's...

Thats one of the great things about this place.
