Hello everybody

Takara

SOC-1
Just wanted to drop some grretings in here.

I found this board and traveller itself via some random surfing at Wikipedia about Isaac Asimov (don't now the exact way anymore...) and it caught my attention.
I have not been that into P&P Roleplaying games but this one sounds interesting. I always wanted to play but it's difficult to find someone to play with if nobody's really interested in your town :(
Maybe this will change should I move to Hamburg in October.
I have not really searched but if there are some other german players here, maybe one can come in touch somehow :D

Well, I'll try to find out a lot about the game and will hopefully find a group of people to play with later.

Regards, Takara

Dude, there are folks posting here from various spots in Deutschland. Keep an eye out for them - you could at least get a play-by-post going.

Willkomen!

Welcome about Takara! You might want to post something in the Recruiting forum if you are looking for players in Germany.

Hiya! You could always try a neat program I've heard about called GRIP. And then you can game with people all over the world.

Willkommen zum unsere Spiele, Takki!

Ok, ok, yes I'm an American. Which means I probably messed that up, sorry! :)

Nevertheless, welcome to the CotI and to Traveller! Ask anyone any question you like, but remember to tell them that you're new to the game. Otherwise, we'll be speaking Greek to you!

Oh, it was not _that_ wrong :p

It would be "Willkommen zu unserem Spiel"

anyways, I have to see a lot of things until I can try to play the game.
I got the T20 Lite Rulebook but it's not what I expected. I fear, there is a lot more stuff I will need besides the rulebook, which I have no money for at the time :(
But I can start of and Imagine some things with the lite book, some maps I got and the Isaac Asimov books in my bookshelf ;)

And I will continue to shuffle through the pile of this board and learn some things...

Honestly not really. You can do without the d20 core books if need be. You might also want to check out the PDF versions of the T20 Handbook. It breaks the print version down into 3 PDFs which you can get for $25.00. If not T20 lite covers most of the basics.

really? that's interesting...
So in the end I take what I can get and imagine everything else around it?

Well, it might need some more creativity but it makes things more individualistic.
