These massive creatures (2x3 squares personal) have been encountered by star ships since the beginning of interstellar travel. Generally docile, they have little regard for their smaller metallic cousins and often “bump” them causing damage and potently destroying smaller ships. The great beasts are almost exclusively encountered in the upper atmospheres of gas giants where they feed off of the hydrogen. It is currently unknown how these creatures traversed the massive distances between star systems or where they originate from but they are encountered in almost every star system with a gas giant.
