But why not post a clear "Galaxiad" in a thread title.

This is 80 pages of general info on the Galaxiad timeline. Those 80 pages consolidate many of Marc's entries on the setting, and expand on some of them in ways where I think we needed some idea of how a referee might work in that setting.

• There's an oh-so-small timeline with huge gaps.
• Marc's vision of how the Wave fits into all of this. And how to survive it. "This cursed canon I must conform to." (to a degree, at least).
• The overall structure of Charted Space. And why Vargr space looks like it always has.
• Referee's explanation to treat the Wilderness as "Here Be Dragons".
• Suggestions on how to run Black Fleet encounters.
• Overview of the Republic of Regina (based on the earlier draft referenced above)
• Two scenarios.
• Notes on campaigning in the Republic of Regina (expanded from the draft).
• Six (pregen) character sheets.
• Technology - starship ops notes, a page of TL-16 and TL-17 weapons and protections.
• Library data (7 pages, 56 entries). I tried to include period data plus entries that are germane but not in the MT Imperial Encyclopedia.

Potentially. The Permatic Imperium is an ALT-setting, but some stuff should be inter-compatible based on the TL range.

Someone recently asked who came up with the current body of known Galaxiad info?

Here goes. This is specifically about the "Galaxiad Gaming Kit" so is loosely representative.

Marc is the source for all the Galaxiad info. I expanded gently in some areas, and interpolated in others. In fact a large part of the Galaxiad Gaming Kit is just different pieces of text from Marc that I assembled.

The "History" section is one place where Jim, Matthew, Thomas and I did some guesstimating and interpolation. In places we had to kind of stretch to fit 1200 Charted Space with year 1900. But Marc set the bounds, for example, for the Wave, so the numbers are his. The Foreven War, and the False Spring, are mine.

"Escaping the Wave" is mine but adapted from Marc. I needed to not just tell you that the Wave couldn't be avoided, but rather to show how people attempted to escape, typically with dismal results. This leaves room for the referee to hold out hope, while getting us used to the devastation of Charted Space.

Jim, I think, wrote and/or worked the bits on Charted Space. Marc left those details to us, and Jim's good at those sorts of things. The exception is Foreven Sector; I wrote those paragraphs. Marc supplied the details to the "Restricted Access" Addendum, and I boiled it down into the current snippet, leaving the larger tale for later.

I wrote the para and built the tables for "no universal currency", and Matthew contributed richly to said table.

Jim, Greg Lee, and I wrote the main chunk of "About the Republic" several years ago, as well as "Campaigning in the Republic of Regina".
Jim wrote the vignettes about Belizo, Mora, Magash, and Rhylanor.

I wrote the scenarios, and did the best I could. I made the pre-gen characters and their character sheets, the Homeworlds Table, and the Career Events. I built the Maada and the Beowulf, and carefully wrote up the Technology and Equipment chapters, with info from Marc. I arrived at the Nine Parsec Solution. And I wrote up the Library Data, making up whatever's not already out there.
