Just for clarity, I think daryen is referring to the SJG forums (deleted posts and bannned). RoS was asking where he'd been told to go post to SJG by someone here on CotI. Or I may be mistaken on a count or two
In any case he is not yet banned here, and is stubbornly trying his darndest to accomplish that despite repeated polite attempts to change his attitude. I see banning from here in his near future too. Not that it's likely to stop him. Unless I miss my guess based on the limited interaction so far he's the kind that will just sign up again with another handle and be an annoyance. Prove me wrong J.C.D.

I think there was one way back in the early days. A guy came along plugging (blatantly) his website/company and Hunter didn't like the general method of it. I may be misremembering but I think the post(s) vanished along with the poster courtesy Hunter.
While I am not sure that J.C.D.'s bringing it up here makes much sense, I have to say that he is essentially correct. Not only was I also banned by Andrew Hackard (he claimed that I was flaming, in fact I was verbally defending an unpopular point of view, and I was careful not to attack anyone), but the people who were personally attacking and insulting me were not punished. It seems that he has his favorites. I have also seen him ban other users who were guilty of nothing but disagreeing with him.
Having said all of that I think if we're going to continue this discussion perhaps it should be moved to a different thread.

Well I found a thread where you insisted that the next book that SJG published should be Ultratech, and when pretty much everyone at SJG pointed out how and why that wasn't possible you still insisted that they should, for 13 pages. I don't know if that's why you were banned, but if that's anything like your general attitude there then it wouldn't surprise me that you were booted off.
I'd rather you didn't discuss it here at all. If you've got a problem on another board, leave it there. CotI is not the place to whine about how you were treated elsewhere.

He's not at all, I've had run-ins with him myself and am not hugely keen on the guy.
That said, I defend him because both you and JCD have made him out to be an ogre and made it out that your bannings are his fault when they're actually yours. And just because he's not around to defend himself, that doesn't give you carte blanche to continue to slag him off here.
I only added that he didn't ban you because well... he didn't.

According to the GURPS website: "It includes a detailed timeline, along with rules for starship design, interstellar trade, exploration, ship-to-ship combat, and tailoring characters to the last days of the First Imperium."
So it appears that it will include 4E character templates but what it doesn't say is that it will be including detailed small arms tables. I can only believe that it will, but after I perused a copy of Infinite Worlds and saw the tiny weapons chart there I'm not so sure. The weapons chart there was literally a small table like four lines long.

Just so everyone knows. GURPS Traveller Intersteller wars has been pushed back to January and GURPS Space has been pushed back to MARCH and there is still no word on GURPS ultratech or GURPS biotech.
If it boils down to it - those hardcore GURPS gamers might end up resisting changing to 4E on the basis that the publishing pace is glacial and the publishing pace will replace books already owned. Kinda sad from this GURPS lover's point of view 
But what the heck, I'm a reactionary old fart who thinks that GURPS 3.5 is better than GURPS 4e (3.5 takes the best of 4 and merges it with 3)
