Fusion Power Plants

Here's some input, about 4 hours old, from Marc.

= 2 liters compressed H2 at 700 bar. = +atmospheric oxygen
= 1 liter liquid H2 in a special tank.+atmospheric oxygen

Appx 10 kW for robots and powered armor.

To me, this means that Fusion+ is still quite powerful and still can be quite small, although I hope that at low volumes it's less efficient.

I just thought that I would point out something about the energy of various fuels that are listed on the links given.

What is listed in the posting the Marc made were for hydrongen Fuel Cells... NOT fusion... You can't do Fusion with diatomic hydrogen, it is a fuel for an hydrogen fuel cell used to make H2O.

If you go to the links you will see a completely separate line for the energy released in a similar volume of hydrogen in a fusion reaction. The first link lists only chemical energy, which doesn't follow the E=MC^2 formulae, and is pretty inefficient.

The second link has a completely separate line for energy released in a fusion reaction...

I guess that I should point out that for a fusion reaction you can get 83,333,333 Kilowatt hours from 1Kg of fuel (Probably Deuterium, as even the sun has burnt up all of its Protium)
