I'm sure this information will not interest a lot of fellow travellers, but maybe a collector or a French-speaking traveller will be...
There is currently a crowdfunding for a translation in French of the second edition of Mongoose's Traveller, the 2022 update.
Behind the Claw, Aliens of the Chartred Space vol 1, The Traveller Companion update 2024, The Explorer Edition, and The Marches Adventures 1-5 are also going to be translated and published by Mnémos under their Modül label.
Mnémos publishing is currently a french traditionnal Sci-Fi and Fantasy publisher, but in the 90's Mnémos was a division of a French TTRPG publisher. These are the guys who created Nephilim which was translated by Chaosium.
Here's the link to crowdfunding campaign : https://www.gameontabletop.com/cf3161/traveller-vf.html
A Discord server has also been setup for the Traveller's French-speaking community : https://discord.gg/AcuWcTFC
The link is valide for 7 days.
A lot of people from France, but also from Canada, Belgium and Luxemburg, including in the moderator's team. But yet no one from Switzerland or African countries.
I hope that this time Traveller rpg is coming to stay in the French-speaking RPG community...
