I think ROM, it would be advisable that you pick up some SW stuff, as the Old Republic best matches the era or if HDI ever gets around to releasing Diaspora, that could serve the basis of the ROM, as the Second Republic of fantastically high technology and complete poverty of spirit would make for an excellent backdrop.

I just wonder what era one should introduce the Villain that nugget provides a glimse. And, other than intelligent AI like Daneel, who or what could it be. Tying it into another thread, maybe, it could be the looming alien threat...

I really like everyone's ideas. Does anyone know how to contact Mick Bailey...I sent him an e-mail a few years back and his Emperors of the ROM are out on the freelancetraveller site. He claimed that he was going to finish the list but he was very busy with work at the time ("I wish that real life would just stop hassling me!") I never heard anything from him again. I would like to know where he based the characters on. It also provided some background material on the ROM. I suspect that he may have detailed them using CT rules. Anyone have any Ideas on this?
