Ethnic Syleans

Is there any canon on the distinctive features of a Sylean? On Saturday my players will probably meet a real life Imperial Marine. What makes this a big deal is that it's in a Reformation Coalition campaign and as far as they know there is no Imperium, so I'd like to make it memorable and distinct.

I could just wing it, but if there is canon there I'll use it....

Also, looking at the picture from GT: Humaniti they are all clones of Marc W. Miller, as they share the same attributes of Marc in RL. Somehow, I suspect that the Syleans are part of an inside joke that GDW did back in the day...much as the average Traveller character in Mongoose looks like many a Traveller player in RL.

Ha! So the unapologetic, patriotic Marine of the 3rd Imperium patronising and mocking the ideals and achievements of the fledgling Coalition will be based on the guy who made up the Imperium in the first place?

That seems perversely appropriate...
