That's "Courtney <spit> Solomon", and he was involved with Imperium Games in some fashion - the conclusion is that he wanted the movie rights to Traveller, and didn't give a rat's ass about The Game. There Is A Reason That T4 Was So Dreadful...

I read the little snippet at the back of one of the T4 books about him trying to produce a Traveller movie. I could only shake my head as I saw an oversized game-geek (no offense to anyone) pray off our beloved game system and milieu. For what it's worth, he was unsuccessful, and that if one ever comes about, then mister Marc Miller will own the rights outright, and we don't have to do through another DGP scenario a-la what's his name who shall remain nameless.
Solomon was the "creative" "genius" behind the first D&D film...apparently he had the backing of serious East Asian investors and could smooth talk he way throughout Hollywood by saying he understood...this geek culture thing called RPGs...and naturally Hollywood execs believed him and forked over cash...
I am amazed at how many things in the pre-Internet stage of gaming actually were almost a go. A Traveller movie headed by Solomon and T4, it really goes to show that the Internet has indeed harnessed the wisdom of crowds amongst other things helping (hopefully) game designers make better choices. I wonder if RS is online and involved at all.
