Deck Plans and T20

How will the game scale work for character combat and tacticle movement in T20? I have invested in Cardboard heroes as these look great in Sci-Fi Gaming. I use them for Champions and would love to use them for onboard battles using the SJG Deck plans done for Gurps Traveller. They look best when put on bases escpecially the Marines. I hope that the scale allows for these figs and not the BB shot 15 mm figs from the old days.

Personal scale combat work exactly the same way as D20 personal scale combat, except T20 added guns. So your huge investment in Cardboard Hero's, deck plans and other mapping tools should fit right in.

Thank You for the fast response! I am really looking forward to using the cardboard heroes and deck plans with T20.

I'm not really familiar with the Cardboard Heroes, but I have a bunch of the old 28mm Grenadier Traveller figures from 1983 that I've painted and several other 28mm sci-fi minis that fit into Traveller very well.

Will the 28mm scale work with the deck plans?

Speaking of painting mini's, can anyone direct me to a resource which will tell me how to paint a mini and make it look goooood?

Thanks,

RV

This is the first part of an 8 part series. Although the figures used are fantasy, the information in the articles are good for any type of miniature. The 8 articles cover:
1) Getting Started
2) Be Prepared
3) Applying the paint
4) Shading and highlighting basics
5) Enhancing different surfaces
6) Painting skin tones
7) Painting faces
8) Finishing touches

These articles should get you off to a great start.

The deck plans that I own look great with 28mm figs. I use the cardboard heroes because they have lots of Traveller equipment. The big space marine figs (28mm) look cool for guys in battle dress. The cardboard heroes are available from Steve Jackson Games. Other companies also tried them including the old TSR with Marvel's "Pit of the Viper", but these were of far lower quality. I would not use them without the bases. They cost a little more this way but work so much better.
