His obit was in the local paper a few days ago: "Goodbye to the Greatest Dungeon Master Ever!" 
There is a public visitation/memorial service scheduled for April 20th. Anyone in the general vicinity of the Twin Cities ought to go; I know I plan on being there.

Yeah, they did that a while back (weeks? months?), can't recall hearing a reason. Today is the last day to redownload any files you previously purchased through DriveThruRPG or such, if you didn't get the memo previously. After today, the files are gone for good, even if you bought them and still have backup downloads on your account. So much for the permanency of digital media :nonono:

At the end of last month, at a local SF con, we sang to the loss of "Yang the Nausieating of the Great Dark Horde" as I knew Bob Asprin. I also knew Dr Asimov as "Dirty Old Uncle Ike".
The sad fact is that we are all dying one day at a time.
So raise an ale to them as leads us into the darkness we see. For they wrote the light by which we choose to see the world and will perhaps write the light that illuminates us if at least one writer is correct.
And if not, there is even less reason not to drink, for life is in the living. Do not die in the mind before you die in the body. I, for one, do not want to have to drag anyone's corpse around til his ticker figures it out...
