I had a big, long reply that boiled down to 'That's a valid option', but I realized we were getting kind of off topic and it's a circular arguement that doesn't add to the discussion. I did learn a lot about supportability at TL, and it looks like it should be completely supportable barring catastrophic damage, so I have no heartburn with the TL15 design.

One of my previous GMs developed an idea that the size and damage of a "spinal mount", he called them "primary weapons", was based on the size of the ship. I know it was not a can in Solution, but I always thought it was pretty cool.
