I've read the documents given in the abouve link and I have mixed feelings about them. One one hand, some of the ideas are great by themselves, or, for the very least, useful (such as the "Redshirt" rule or the noise/flash rules). On the other hand, the entire system (and especially chargen) is quite different from CT, and seems inspired by Shadowrun (point-buy wealth table, recoil DMs to hit and so on) - not a bad thing by itself (I love Shadowrun, except for some of the dice mechanics when using high skills/attributes), but I kinda like the random system (with casdades for some more choice and no death in chargen) as it is a game by itself and allows you to create a framework for your character's history if you're out of ideas.
