Collectors may need a nerf

according to the Rule book... exotic particles...

"A Collector is an array of specialized
materials that slowly absorb
exotic particles and releases them
in a burst of energy which can power
interstellar drives."

pg 347

ZPE is technically a form of "exotic material"...

I wonder if you could add the constraint that for the extraction technology, the rate of extraction of ZPE/exotic particles is proportional to the local gravitational gradient or field?

That way you could still require the proximity of a star, planet, or other gravitation source, and tie the recharge rate to the actual intensity of and distance from the gravity-source. Interstellar space might still be crossed, but require a much greater recharge time.

My (stated) preference as well. Apparently Marc has his reasons to break from this..

as has been mentioned before :)
