Chamax/Horde Miniatures

I am planning to run Chamax/Horde for my players sometime in the relative near future. However I need something that can use to give them the creeps. I plan to run most encounters with miniatures, and I would like to see their faces as a roup of miniatures grows and grows, much like the movie Starship Troopers.

Do anyone know of dead cheap miniatures that are usable? I'll also settle for simple paper miniatures like those Scarecrow posted a while back.

Funny you should mention that as I was planning to run the similar Striker scenario from a JTAS issue.

I got some of those cheap plastic spider rings for Halloween and snipped the ring part off. They're about 2"; a bit too large, but I was going to have them represent groups of critters rather than individual ones. They're dirt cheap and should be easily available now by mail order.

As an alternative, if you want smaller minis, these are smaller.

They don't look much like the horde, but they are cheap and simple.

They look passable. Wonder if they ship overseas. I'll probably have to take a look in a local toy store.
