The characters would scuttle the ship before letting a non 3I party have it. Capering about in an AHL might be interesting but I don't see them as doing that except as an immediate tactical need to do something right now.
The CO is a retired Navy Captain and the XO is a retired Marine Colonel and former scout, both are decorated Knights. the XO is the one with the secret, the CO has experience commanding an AHL FI class ship. "The final mission of the Bard Warlord" does have an interesting ring to it though, doesn't it?
According to MT:AV an AHL-CF has a crew of 656 with 20 passengers and 160 Frozen Watch. I counted 334 staterooms and 4 luxury suites. The version I cooked up using MgT High Guard 2E has 617 Crew, 160 Frozen Watch. A lot depends on who survived. And I just realized that with a supply of fast drug 17 years just might be survivable, if on the ragged edge.
o: this is like a :CoW: I'm ending up with more questions than I started with. which I suppose is a good thing.
