Can anyone tell me the link between the Outer Veil and Universal Machine?

(Assuming the the Outer Veil in question is the same as published by Spica?)

Outer Veil is still listed as Spica as the publisher and has not revised its logo to reflect Cepheus.
I was comparing to see which ones I do not have. This looks like a copy of the list I found in a rpg dot net thread. It is wholly inaccurate. I own many of these in one form or another. because I have this attitude, :smirk:

Outer Veil is moving over to Universal Machine (same peeps as Spica)
UM is fully compatible with CE. It's still based on the SRD as CE is, just more bells and whistles.
The updated Outer Veil will have updated art, notably all the maps, deckplans and a few more ship illustrations.

Yes, I have all the Universal Machine products that have come out to date. Got to add that to my eventually list. Thanks, that's not on their website.

Sorry, I was not clear. My statement was meant to mean
some are not Cepheus imprinted or categorized as such
some are complete settings or petty much though not listed as such
some don't exist yet, but are listed as such

Azri Drakara and Double Spiral War are the examples that come to mind. Azri seems pretty much complete, but the you have wade thru the 5 books to get a good feel. Double Spiral is a pain to read, it is complete to go. But neither are Cepheus logo'ed either. If someone went straight to Cepheus, they are not in today's count of 164 products listed. Edge of Imperial Space (Spellbook Software and Games), I went to their website and the do not have such a product or a script, just some d20 stuff.

Yeah, I just used the DTRPG list as is. I guess somethings have not fully converted to CE - BUT they are compatible any way.

Thanks for the info gents. At risk of thread drifting, will Universal Machine achieve the status of CE and get its own forum here? Perhaps a better question for Aramis and the mods?

This is 100% personal opinion and not 'official' in any sense of the word ...

I don't think so. The gist of the discussion concerning the creation of a CE Forum on COTI was will FFE/COTI officially support the Traveller OGL SRD 3PP movement with a dedicated forum, inclusion in the 'Other Games' forum or not at all. It was recommended by the Moot members, overwhelmingly, to support it at the 'Forum' level. So each new OGL SRD 3PP derived system is, strictly my opinion, unlikely to get a distinct forum in the same way that 'Avenger' and 'Spica' (and others) did not each get a unique forum for their 'Mongoose Traveller Licensed' products.

Universal Machine belongs in the Cepheus Engine Forum as part of the OGL SRD 3PP Traveller Movement. If it becomes an issue where it NEEDS a place of its own, it would probably get a sub-forum but even that (sub forums for specific 'brands') should be based on some sort of perceived need.

Is there a need for a distinct UM sub-forum?
If so, there is a mechanism in place for PUBLISHERS to simply contact an Administrator to get a Sub-Forum for their brand. (I do not know the details since I had no real need to pay close attention.) Gypsy Knight Games and Stellagama Publishing both took advantage of it.

Thanks for the reply Arthur, it makes sense. Perhaps the CE forum should be name changed to "Traveller OGL SRD 3PP movement"?
