Bursting With Excited Anticipation

I can't wait. I don't know what it is. After watching that unboxing video and seeing the massive Traveller book--Man!

I feel like I'm waiting for the second Classic Traveller to land in my mailbox.

I ordered mine from the website too.
International shipping to Ireland is almost the same cost as the book itself because of the weight of the package.
It'll be worth every penny I'm sure :)

No mail, no package, still waiting the long wait...

Meanwhile: are there any reviews out there? Just seeing the unboxing video again and again is kind of "maddening". Please, help! :-)

Did you back on Kickstarter thalassogen?

Just wondering. I didn't but ordered through the website. I emailed Marc a couple of weeks ago but got no reply.

For me it was like Christmas again. I'm leaving the book in the box and reading the pdf that came on the CDROM so as not to put wear and tear on the book yet.

Sissy! :p

Oh come on now, it is a gaming book, it should be read and used. Hell, once the Errata gets released it should maybe even be written in (but that is mostly for Referees to worry about).

Reading the PDF to save the book, yeesh. :nonono: :p

You know over the years I have usually only bought one of any product and I have always taken care of my copies of anything and they last. I don't bend the bindings or spill stuff on the pages and take care to preserv my items. Granted I rarely let players ever touch my stuff...they have germs<LMAO>!!!!

I'll try to write something up. I can tell you that reading the first few chapters was quite an experience. The years of refinement, the insight that Marc has, really shows. It's been a labor of love all these years and it's just a joy to read, for me at least.

My thoughts in brief are. I got as far as page 216 after reading it and trying to figure it out as I went over the course of a week before putting it in my closet with a massive headache until I can find someone to teach this thing to me.

Unfortunately, I believe that FIRM grounding, if not actually EXTENSIVE grounding, in Travellers-past is needed to approach the Monolith that is T5. Touch at your own risk, and make sure you've got a thigh-bone near-at-hand.

Just got mine yesterday, I did not receive an email confirmation, it just showed up. Serendipity!

I bought the extra book so that I can read one and leave the other boxed. I will probably end up using both when I start my campaign though.

Reading it on the iPad is not the same :)

Frankly I would start with CharGen. Learn by doing. First char I created took a bit of work. Second and third were a bit easier. By the forth one it was really easy.

I am making a spreadsheet to handle CharGen recording. :)

Actually, why don't one of you who has it figured (I don't - I've not tried it since before Knowledges were split from skills) do a walk through in a thread. You can even use the die-roller...
