I'm thinking of using the Burning Wheel RPG with Traveller ...
In my last campaign I tried to up the emotional involvement of the players by building in sources of conflict into their character histories. However, while the players thought this would be good, when it came to actual play they reverted to their normal styles ... resisting in an almost passive-aggressive fashion that led to a very flat campaign (the opposite of what I was trying to acheive).
I'm thinking they need a little extra help. So I've been looking at the Burning Wheel RPG. Has anyone else used this with Traveller? Either in whole or grafting parts onto one of the Traveller rule sets? Ideally I want to graft bits onto MT but would be interested in any experiences people have had with Burning Wheel or similar RPGs.
