"Buckle up, Travellers...."

Richard

SOC-11
What is Traveller?

Traveller is the grand scope of the universe, laid out before you. A beaten-up old ship and a crew of wandering adventurers, getting tangled up in situations involving the best and the worst of mankind...usually the worst. Dozens, hundreds of alien races sitting in a cantina on a far-off desert planet. The rugged, independent scout in his one man Serpent-class. Haughty nobles, insisting on their rights - and others dying for them. A star-spanning Imperium that could be described as good and evil in equal measure, but in reality just doesn't give a damn any more. Old treasures from races that once walked amongst the stars like giants, before vanishing as if the tide of history had taken them. A quick ship, and a fast buck.

Classic Traveller: The Gateway Quadrant*.

A Free Trader. A Crew. Adventure.

An old-school GRIP Traveller campaign, run on alternate Sunday nights at 2030 GMT.

Anyone interested?

Richard

*Judges Guild version; I intend to run this in a similar style to this campaign, in a Proto-Traveller manner .

Great! I'm looking for three-six players, characters to be generated using Book 1-3 rules only. Vargr allowed, using the basic rules from the Traveller Adventure; as are Newt and Ael Yael characters.

Richard

I'd be interested too, although there are a number of weekends over September when I'll be away. Should be here for the majority though.

Mr Richard,

I'd be interested too

If you would like, come and post your game over at the GRiP Boards
My work schedule may have changed to weekends sometimes  ... but I'll check...

Great! The game will be alternate Sundays; I work every other weekend - at nights(!) - myself, so I know it can be a pain.

Richard

OK; I'm planning to start the game on Sunday 13th August. If everyone could have their character sheets to me by the 10th; let me know if you have any questions.

Richard

Hi Richard,

I've emailed you a character sheet. I misread and thought you were starting this Sunday (I'm away) but see that it is in fact next Sunday, so that's good. It'll give me time to get to grips with grip which I've never used before.

Cheers

Thanks Berg, I've been reading them. It might be worth having a practice session before we start for real just so I know that I understand it all before we dive in. Will we be using Roger Wilco as well?

I could run a GRiP tune up to get you and anyone else used to the interface. PM me on the GRiP Boards

It's Richards game, so that's his call... I find I like "chat" for in character, I find it more immersive. Voice for technical stuff, if at all... YMMV ;)
