Getting back on topic, have you thought about picking up the classic traveller cd from ffe and using the ahl rules instead of snapshot ? just work up the original situation and see if ahl provides more in the way of options-- I personally think that the results will be about the same. As a combat veteran sometimes it comes down to no guts , no glory...

I picked up a copy of acq from ebay, and another copy from amazon.uk, I don't think its in production anymore. And, while its nice, it aint all that.

As noted, ACQ is really just Snapshot updated and expanded a bit* for T4.

That said, the rules for suppression fire in ACQ are readily ported into Snapshot and may help with the scenario you describe.

Of course, this is why my characters ALWAYS have breaching charges on hand.
