Aslan Clan hierarchy?

*** Has anyone ever though about Aslan clan hierarchy? How does it work? ***

I've read much if not most of the canon Aslan knowledge out here and I'm still not sure how it works in practice.

As far as I can tell, it works something like this (Greater power is higher ranked, i.e. #1, down to the least powerful, i.e. #8...):
  1. Tlaukhu clan.
  2. Major clan in a power block.
  3. Major clan, unaffiliated and independent.
  4. Minor clan, as a vassal to a major clan.
  5. Minor clan, unaffiliated and independent.
  6. Micro clan, at the world dominance level.
  7. Micro clan, on a split control world.
  8. The "Unwanted", clanless Aslan.

*** What are your thoughts on the matter? ***

Tlaukhu block: Group of at least one major clan, and usually 2 to 5 major clans, with all vassals and associated allies.
Major clan: 8 or more worlds
Minor clan: 2 to 7 worlds
Micro clan: 1 or less worlds

I also see at least three clan relationships to one another:
  1. Master (greater power)
  2. Partner or Ally (roughly equal power)
  3. Vassal (lesser power)

And the further hierarchy is:
  1. Clan
  2. Pride
  3. Family

Positive vibes to all!

Shalom,

Also, keep in mind that all clans are subdivided into "Prides" which are further subdivided into individual Families.
So the head of a Clan is generally the head of the senior Pride of the Clan, and is in turn also the head of the senior Family in that Pride.

my understanding was that the majority of clans were, at some level, beholden to the Tlaukhu clans though a greater or lesser number of vassal/master links. So, a minor clan with only one world would be beholden to a local intermediate power clan that influenced several world, who were in turn beholden to a major clan with vassal spread over a sector, who in turn owned allegiance to a Tlaukhu clan.

with that many level of intermediaries, the Tlaukhu clan may only be able to exert a minor amount of control on any minor clan, but in theory It is the overlord of the whole sector. Kinda like how the Japanese emperor was for significant periods a figurehead with little actual control or ability to stop the Daimyo from squabbling or even outright warfare.

(Working from Rats&Cats)

It gets even messier than that as several clans can exist and claim chunks of the same world, so they dont have an entire planet to themselves.

But a important matter for Aslan is not just land, but the quality of that land.
Clan X may own an entire world, but if that world is like Mars they would have less prestiege than than Clan Y who owns a small slice of a garden world. But if that Aslan mars is an industrial powerhouse, it would be more prestiege than an empty one etc. Trade codes could help here somewhat. Ri is greater than Va & Po, etc

And if one of the prides/families which make up a clan decide to up stakes and join another clan for whatever reason then how much prestiege follows them to the new clan?
