Has anyone come up with a conversion formula or table to convert previous version armor ratings to T5? In particular I would like to convert MT vehicle designs to T5, but I am also looking at other editions for use as well.

I am not sure how precise it is, but I have found a reasonable rule of thumb to be:

10 AV_(T⁵) ≈ 1 AF_(CT).

and

Total Armor_(MT) = 40 + (3 Armor_(MT) per 1 AF_(CT)).

CT = Classic Traveller
MT = MegaTraveller
AV = Armor Value
AF = Armor Factor


Compare the AVs of the detailed ships in T5 Book2 with the equivalent ships' AFs in CT:Sup9 (Fighting Ships).
