Anyone Travelling in Chicago?

Ok....been itching for the past couple of years to get involved in a game, but it hasn't 'felt right' until I got back to Chi-town! Is there a CT, MT or T20 group in the area looking for a new member?? Either send a message to this list, or: clarkbroel@earthlink.net

As an altenative, has anyone played on GRIP? What do/did you think?

Thanks!

Clark/Renard

I'm out in Wilmington (Northwest of Kankakee) - about 20 or 30 minutes (to an hour or more depending on traffic) down I-57. What version of Traveller do you play? There's a great games store out in Mt. Prospect or Des Plaines called Games Plus. A bunch of my friends play out there. But I don't know anyone around here that plays Traveller. I haven't played since my friend Casey died in fall of '94. Tried to get one going with some friends in Chicago, but all they want to play is D&D.

If you are looking for something online, http://www.rpol.net is a really good place.

Thanks for the great info. Scout! Unfortunately, I don't have wheels except for CTA, though I would assume METRA is an option. Currently, I don't play any version (been collecting though!). I have a soft spot for CT and MT, but I am developing a taste fo T20 as I play with it a bit. I am not averse to GT, just don't have that much involvement with it (I had some frustrations with the ship design rules and gave up...). I haven't actually played Traveller since high school (1988!), but in the past five years or so, have been collecting and getting an itch to play again. Maybe something could be worked out...
