Any character generator software?

Traveller software?

I been over the webring and looked at several sites, but it's hard to find a decent character generator (especially if you want to customize: a couple extra rank/service skills, psionics or use non-humans).

Could anyone recommend one to me? (CT or MT)
Or is one in the works by Far Future? Of course I like rolling 'em up, but it gets time consuming for trying to generate several NPC merc squads, etc.

Actually there was a character gen program that came with Micropose's Mega Traveller 2 computer game. The game itself had a bug or two, if I recall rightly, but the character gen feature was pretty neat. You could also print out said character as well. Try Micropose's site, and see if they still sell their older games.

take a look at the TML archive. I think i saw something there about a site with the two Mega-T games available for download. Just got back from holiday and haven't caught up yet.

I thought those were still copyrighted software.

I know the software company Paragon (the makers of Mega 1 and 2) is defunct, but what happens to the rights then? Don't they revert to the original owner, in this case, Marc Miller?

If it is legal to do so, I'll try it, but if not I won't.

Anyone have a legal clarification?

Good position. I didn't investigate the situation yet. I have known folks to give away there old bits. So it may be legit.

Anyway I applaud, support, and concur with your position on IP.

I'd like to point out that that program on the link isn't, or at least doesn't appear to be, the same one that came with Paragon's MT2 game. The one that came with the game was a completely in game program, and not a GUI (Windows) deal.
