Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
MgT1e. I like crunch and detail. MgT provides that to a better degree for me in comparison to the other 2d6 versions of Traveller when it comes to animals.
Right now, I am working on simplifying the Cepheus Engine rules, and I suspect that I will end up with my own system. The original rules in LBB3 were not that bad. Basically, I see that the animal generation and encounter rules should be as simple as possible to use, as the more complex, the less likely is a Game Master actually trying to use them in a game.
...Just my imagination, the critters run away with me... (apologies to The Tempations)
Been using the LBB3 rules too long to change now, and they are sufficient for combat given how encounters don't go on long enough for more stats. They tend to be custom encounters as part of the adventure anyway.
