I can't find the specific post, but when I was at a public terminal yesterday, Googling, I thought I saw a post on this board that claimed that AI was dead. It was in the context of 1970's technological assumptions. The implication was that people may have believed in AI way back in the 1970's, but not any more.
I immediately checked sciencedirect.com and found 354 AI papers from 2006 and 2007.
And then I logged in here and I can't find the post!
So natural stupidity isn't dead yet either, at least not in my case.
